The Fine Art of Redirection (ClickZ, July 7th)
A great way to turn potential visitors away from your site is to avoid your error logs. Since sites change in their structure frequently, it is likely that you will deliver several 404 errors over the life of your site. Fortunately, by editing .htaccess, you can redirect 404 File not Found traffic to a page of your choice, in order to assist in guiding your visitors to where they intended to go.
